Class Description

Are you looking for materials for your youth group or young adult groups and having trouble finding just what you need? No program is totally perfect for each ministry location. Many times, it’s necessary to tweak existing resources — or even write your own because of budget constraints.

Through this course, you will be building a 7-week Bible study (and accompanying promotional materials!) based on a framework provided by the instructor. You will be able to build out the content for the Bible study based on the needs of your ministry setting. The course will include videos and links to other resources which will aid in the planning and building of the 7-week Bible study.

This course will have an additional focus on adapting materials and managing building limitations to include those with disabilities. People who have disabilities are a part of God’s kingdom as much as anyone else!

At the end of this course you will have a 7-week Bible Study that you can use for your youth group or young adult group!

Students will need a copy of Five Practices of Fruitful Youth Ministry by Robert Schnase and Terry B. Carty, Finding God in the Graffiti: Empowering Teenagers Through Stories by Frank Rogers, Jr., and Dancing with Disabilities: Opening the Church to All God’s Children by Brett Webb-Mitchell for this course.
